Cleanse & Restore For The New Year

Happy New Year whatever 2021 brought to you let 2022 be the best ever and a happy and healthy year.  Now are you someone who starts off the new year with the best of intentions but within a week things slide?  This is not unusual with goals because we write them down and then forget to check in with them.  However, I have a couple of health related programmes that help you not only keep to your plan but hit those goals too!


Firstly, let’s cover cleansing and restoring your body and Habit Stacking will be the focus of my next blog.  Now is the time when social media is awash with cleansing and detoxing programmes but do you really need one?   We have amazing organs such as the kidneys and liver that do this for you but no organ can work to its full potential if it is overwhelmed with the toxins we put in and around our bodies from alcohol, drugs (medicinal and…), skincare and cleaning products to processed food and intensively farmed produce and all the added ingredients that entails.  

In my case I have been poorly over the last couple of weeks with a nasty respiratory virus not Covid thankfully but I also want to give myself a restore from this too and kick any remaining symptoms to the kerb.

Cleansing the body helps us to eliminate what is causing us to operate below par whether we breathe it in, or we absorb it through our skin, or even eat in our food. Our bodies can get so overloaded that it can be hard for us to function well.

Do you want to feel better and live a more vibrant life? Sure! We all do! But where to start?

We can’t always control what is going on around us but we can control how we respond.  Even those living a clean life, like me can still be overwhelmed at times as stress increases the cortisol coursing through our bodies helping to promote an inflammatory state that also does not aid getting your system back on track.  No time is more important than now with the pandemic continuing and the increase in cases as well as this new variant, so supporting your immune system to work at its very best is vital.
